The Gala for Student Drama was created to give student playwrights an opportunity to showcase their newest work to an audience. It is presented with the generous support of MainLine Theatre who provides support to each playwright from rehearsal space, to feedback from their project and to allowing an audience to come and see their work. Below you will find images of each production during the rehearsal process.

We Are One presents:
“Thank You For The Time” is a one act play racing to solve a problem between two nearly human creatures that have been left behind. As they scramble to understand what has become of their relationship, our two beings see the little life they have built for themselves begin to dissolve. Funny, sad, sweet, and strange, Thank You For The Time is a play first and foremost about love, and how much we will do for those we give it to.

Writer: Dimitri Kyres
Director: Emelia Hellman

Lucky Cadaver Theatre Company presents:
Religion gets a satiric and absurd makeover all in one heavenly bar. Come for the laughs, stay until all Hell breaks loose…

Poster for One Too Many

Thunder Tangent Productions presents:
One Too Many is a post-dramatic collective creation about alcohol, substance abuse, and failure. We will plumb the very depths of the inner workings of our souls. We will explore substance abuse from a historical, scientific, and personal perspective. We will find ourselves and lose ourselves and find ourselves again, (probably), all while drunk and getting drunker. Imagine the shenanigans. Imagine the tom-foolery. We’ll probably even learn some lessons, I bet.

Co-Written and starring: Evan Harvey & Calla Wright
Creative Director: Michelle Lee

The 6th annual MainLine Gala for Student Drama is on from February 11th to the 14th
